We Were Bit by the Flu Bug!

What a weekend it has been in the Tolhouse Trio home...

It all started Friday night after Fitness Camp; I was feeling yucky with a stuffy head, runny nose and headache. Shane was feeling pretty beat up from workout (thanks to ME). Carrington was fine... she was sleeping over at my parents house for the night.

Shane and I got up at 3:00am to get him ready for opening day of duck season. He went hunting with my mom, Josh, Osama (Josh's BF) & Dr. Hill (our dentist). After hunting, it was pretty much downhill from there... Shane and I crashed all afternoon. Even after both getting naps, it got worse and worse by the hour. Shane started running really high fever, chills and ached all over. Around 4:30 we needed a little help with Carrington, so Sherie picked her up and spent the evening with her. Shane continued to get sicker and sicker... I started to feel a little better and found myself babying him the rest of the night (sorry Shane, but it's true - ladies we all know how guys an be when they are sick). My parents let Carrington spend the night again so that she didn't get sick. It was a Saturday night of running to the store for medicine, getting fluids down Shane and monitoring his temperature. We both went to bed early and Shane's fever finally broke early in the morning.

Today I tried to get rid of the germs lurking in the house and took Carrington to run errands. Shane became on permanent fixture on the couch. I think he has watched more football in the past two days than the entire last two years! I am glad he is feeling better, still not 100%, but much better from last night.

Tonight we are suppose to head over to my parents house for dinner and carving pumpkins. We aren't sure if we are going to make it or not. If we do, we will post some pics tomorrow. It's an annual event and we always have a ton of fun. We love fall and Halloween!
