Another turkey day has come and gone... Happy belated Thanksgiving to our blog readers! We had a wonderful day. Shane, Carrington and I slept in that morning. Then we made breakfast burritos, cooked 2 pies and 10lbs of potatoes to take to my parents house. This year we spent Thanksgiving with my family (Davis')! We had a great time... my mom made the most amazing dinner (well, she always does), but boy was it yummy. After dinner, we visited with family and watch Hairspray - I LOVE that movie (if you haven't seen it, it's a MUST). After the movie, we headed over to Sherie's house for pie and games. We stayed for about an hour and then we were off to the Festival of Trees. We go to the Festival of Trees every year - it's our tradition! We look at all the trees and then we "try" to visit Santa Claus. In the past we haven't been very successful, this year - Santa Claus was a hit! Carrington loved Santa! She sat on his lap, told him she wanted a Dora Vanity and gave him a hug. Shane and I were shocked... she did so good. The bummer was our camera ran out of batteries as soon as we got there. We did get a picture and hopefully we will post it soon. It's a really cute photo... While we were there, we ran into our friends, the Allen Family and visited with them. We stayed until closing time and then, I can't believe I am about to admit this... we went back to my parents house for leftovers - as if we needed to consume more calories. Carrington just really wanted turkey and potatoes again. We finally made it home around 10:30 and we went straight to bed. We have so much to be thankful for this year, we are so blessed!
